The book
Child, You Are Not Alone
100 letters from CTSS to the children. One book, a hundred letters, keeping company with a left-behind childhood.

One book, 100 letters
A childhood without parents nearby, the worries of growing up, endless curiosity about the world: for more than six years, CTSS has written to the children every month. From the more than 15,000 letters of those years, we chose 100 that speak for many, grouped by what children care about most: their parents, who they are, their grades, their friends.
Our letter writers don't lecture, judge or label. They use words children understand to keep them company, support them and care for them. The replies may not give a child the “right answer” or “expert advice”, but they let a child feel: I was heard. I was seen. Someone cares about me. Someone believes in me. I am worth loving.
We want to say: “Child, you are not alone.”
CTSS's letters fly to the children like doves. Not every day, but every so often one lands. And so a child has the chance to pour out their heart, and to hear a voice answer. It is the kindest of things: a love that carries a warm light, flying to the child, planting a seed in the heart and lighting a spark of hope.
